In a Better Position than Ever with Ergonomics

In 2025, Olympe will be expanding its ergonomics services, thus affirming “its position” as an expert in that field.

Today, all employers are aware of the benefits of ergonomics and of the essential role it plays in the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries and, in a broader perspective, in improving well-being in the workplace. And to meet the growing desire of its clients to integrate ergonomics into their practices, Olympe will be offering more services and resources in the coming year.

Load handling

Regarding load handling, a “heavily” problematic issue for many, Olympe will be offering a new training program built around the best, most up-to-date practices in the field of ergonomics, and which will focus on such avenues of prevention as building up workers’ competences and improving global risk management through a participative approach.

Rehabilitation ergonomics

With regards to rehabilitation ergonomics, Olympe will be able to evaluate the physical requirements of specific tasks in relation with the concerned workers’ functional limitations.
For this purpose, we have already acquired state-of-the-art measuring tools, such as a push-pull dynamometer, hand-grip dynamometer and mechanical pinch gauge. We’ve also completed the procedure for obtaining new relevant standards like ISO 11228 and EN 1005-3, among others.

A better understanding of ergonomics

To help its clients and their employees acquire a better understanding of ergonomics and encourage them to integrate ergonomics notions and principles in their daily activities, Olympe will offer a selection of training activities on related subjects, such as:

  • Demystifying ergonomics, or ergonomics beyond chairs, desks and postures
  • When is the best time to consult an ergonomics expert?
  • What are the real benefits, backed by case studies, of ergonomics?

Olympe’s expertise already recognized

Of course, Olympe has been providing ergonomics consulting services for some time now and our expertise has already been acknowledged by many of our clients. Here are a few examples of mandates for which clients have expressed their complete satisfaction:

  • Ubisoft: full-time, interim ergonomist
  • Resolute Forest Products: ergonomics applied to industrial design
  • Groupe PAF: office ergonomics

Other important mandates are already being negotiated with such clients as Nemaska Lithium for training employees on load handling, and Elkem Metal for designing workspaces that meet current ergonomics standards.

You can be in a better position with ergonomics too!

Whatever your field of activity, hiring Olympe’s expert ergonomics services is a surefire way to reduce risks and prevent injuries related to workspace arrangement, tool and furniture choice and use, and working methods, regardless of the type of work or occupation.
